The Difference Between Injection Molding and Blow Molding
Injection Molding: This process involves using the screw or plunger of an injection machine to force molten material from a barrel through the machine’s nozzle and into the mold’s gating system, where it is then injected into the cavity and solidified to form the final part.
Blow Molding: This process involves placing an extruded, molten plastic parison inside a mold, where it is inflated by compressed air to conform tightly against the cavity walls. The part is then cooled and hardened into its final shape.
